Sustainability
At Wellsville Terminals Company, we are deeply committed to fostering a thriving community and upholding the highest environmental standards.
We actively engage with local residents, businesses, and organizations to support community initiatives, create job opportunities, and promote sustainable development. Our operations prioritize environmental stewardship through rigorous compliance with regulations, adoption of eco-friendly technologies, and continuous efforts to minimize our ecological footprint.
By balancing economic growth with social and environmental responsibility, we aim to contribute positively to the well-being of Wellsville and its surrounding areas for generations to come.
Affordable Midwest Port Access
Strategically located on the Ohio River with Norfolk Southern rail and highway access (OH-7, I-70), Wellsville serves 36–45% of North America’s industrial base within 500 miles at a fraction of the cost compared to the congested ports of Northeast or Mid-Atlantic hubs.
River transportation is the most energy efficient mode of moving cargo.
One river barge removes ~56 trucks (440,00 gallons of diesel) from the highways and 15 railcars (~453,600 diesel gallons) from the rail system.
